Multiple rings would be great for his legacy, but not necessary. However, I want him to have 5 more with the Saints for the sake of us.

It's not a one man show, but great QB play and a great coach can get a team to the playoffs with a shot to win it all. I believe we have both.

I'm hoping and praying Brees goes out like Elway. Didn't we get the Super Bowl back in Nola in a few years? For him to win it there and retire would be incredible. Couldn't ask for anything more than that

if we don't win another super bowl, that means it'd be a 7-8 year drought with drew at his prime that went without gathering any further hardware. Hard not to be disappointed to some degree.

This is pretty much my sentiment. This team/organization is just too good for only one Super Bowl. 09 will always be remembered, but it's going to be incredibly hard to not be disappointed if we don't.

Super Bowl history- you rather be 1-0 or 1-2 or 1-1? Undefeated is nice.

Good question Chad.

I do like the "undefeated" part.

1-2?

That would have been two miserable years

you thought the farty niners hurt... it'd suck more going further and losing. We'd be so ego headed if we made the super bowl and going into the game.

I would weep

But then again, we are so damn good in prime time and especially with time to prepare.

Disappointed in who? Drew? No disappointment whatsoever. Much like Marino (the GOAT) he never had enough pieces around (with the exception of D-Sharp in '09).

Disappointed in the FO? Absolutely!! Pretty disappointed in them now. I can't even begin to imagine how pissed I'd be if Drew retired without at least one more championship.

The optimistic and grateful responses in this thread continue to show the difference between here and the rant.

And I'd be disappointed, but not upset. I had a very rough 2009 personally, especially during football season. That Saints season made me forget my troubles, even if only for a little while. It was so awesome to be a part of.

I assume you mean with the Saints, right?

Drew Brees already led the Saints far above the previous high for the franchise. If he doesn't lead the team to another Super Bowl he will still be considered the pinnacle of the Saints organization.

That being said, I would absolutely love for him to get one more. Two Super Bowls would make him one of only eleven quarterbacks to win multiple super bowls. (I believe only four QBs all time have ever won more than two).

At the end of the day, I think my "floor" expectation is to make it to one more. Win or lose, I think getting to two superbowls and winning at least one shows that your team was a powerhouse and it wasn't just a flash in the pan.

Undefeated is nice, but I think I would prefer 1-1. To me getting there twice is more impressive than getting there once, even if you only win one of them.

But once you are 1-1, I wouldn't want to go again unless we won because a second loss in a row would hurt to much. A loss is okay as long as you are at or above .500, but once you drop to a losing record it sucks (at least in my mind). I would hate to be a fan of the Bills or Vikings. 0-4 is awful and IMO probably worse than never getting there.

So my order of preference:
1-1
1-0
1-2

With the defense we have had? We kept greg one year to long, wish he would have went to the Titans. We lost our opportunity in 2011 against the 49ers. Would have hosted the Giants who we beaT LIKE A DRUM THAT YEAR. Thanks to Roman Harper!
