So this is why it matters whether or not the "victim" was harassing Hill and calling him N***** and possibly instigating the entire fight.

quote:

The attorney of LSU running back Jeremy Hill says her client was heckled about his past legal trouble before he was allegedly involved in a fight outside of a Baton Rouge bar last weekend.

Hill's attorney, Marci Blaize, said the heckling began before a cell phone caught Hill on video during the altercation

quote:

Complicating matters for Hill is the fact that he told police that he wasn't in the fight, despite the video -- which is considered evidence -- showing Hill involved in it. Police said Hill told officers before and after he was shown the cell phone video that he was near the fight, but wasn't involved. He also said he didn't know the second suspect.

Blaize hasn't disputed that Hill is in the video, but added that she wasn't sure why Hill's comments were taken the way they were.

So you've seen the video, or are you basing your assumptions off what the media chooses to report?

Who else usually reports information?

And also,WHO LEFT THEIR HOME IN HANDCUFFS?

You tell me who YOU think the victim is. I know who was arrested and now I know his friend and co-puncher was also charged as well. I know Hill lied numerous times and is in more hot water because of that.

Yeah, no facts behind the reports so far

That is the bottom line: when there's an even slight chance that you may make millions playing a game,

stay away from bars
Simple.

Seems like it's damn simple.

Jigga City. Full of fight style of sucker punching people from behind especially ganging up.

It's awesome.

He has learned well.

Hate to say it but he should follow Cecil Collins and Tyrann Mathieu to the 'used to be LSU football players" line IMO.

I smell dinardoesque loss of control and I don't like it a bit.

Do the right thing Les.

And please, any Tigers reading this:

Be the bigger man. Don't beat up regular guys. It doesn't impress anyone.

It just gets you in trouble and gives the program and the University a black eye.

I got into three fights in a bar when I was an undergraduate and didn't get arrested once but that was nearly two decades ago and I wasn't an LSU football player.

Im oh so hurt by a board guy criticizing me.

Hill was arrested (the next day! Which is worse because it means the police had time to go over details)
Hill lied to police about knowing the other "punch thrower"
Hill lied about even being involved (then video shows up)
His friend was arrested
Eye witnesses were listened to
Video was used
Hill is on probation that HE agreed to to divert harsher punishment

THIS IS A PROBLEM! I'm sure you hate this post as well....too bad because the facts are the facts.

You actually know some other poster named Peej and you think it's cute=loser!

Let's see

Doesn't make it less of a crime, but thanks for the babble....

Please point to me any legal analysis in my post. I'll wait on the edge of my seat for that. Since you clearly missed the point, it was more about grand standing fans who pretend they're perfect and have never jaywalked or acted foolish as a 20 year old.

But you want legal analysis, here's some. Given the facts you gave in the lafayette case as complete, that kid is guilty. Great, know what that means to this conversation? Not a damn thing. Guess what? I can create all kind of irrelevant hypotheticals too, but I won't (believe me, part of me wants to). The facts of this case are the facts of this case and of no other. Period.

Everyone knows "why he was charged" and no one is saying he made the best decision. But you say with great certainty he hit the guy from behind when all reports today said in the side of the head, or that he knew the second hitter when everything at this point from the cops and attorneys says otherwise, you either don't know or are willfully ignoring facts to fit your preconceived narrative. Why don't all you guys just wait for all the facts before jumping to the worst possible conclusion about a guy you were probably screaming your arse off for 5 months ago. Damn. It's ridiculous. But thanks for the babble.

You're right, by a guy on probation. With his apologists calling a 14 year old victim a slut and threatening to kill another victim that got knocked out from behind caught on video. Then add on the well he called him a **** defense, the victim deserved it, you're right people need to settle down.

Hill will have a probation revocation hearing soon, where a judge will decide if be violated probation. Most times, a misdemeanor does not warrant revocation. She will probably decide there was no violation of probation, Hill will be picking up lots of trash this summer, and he wont see the field the first two games.

Not going to comment on the semantics of ethics, morals or any other factors outside of legal ramifications, as I saw the video and I dont approve of the actions

Are most people concerned he'll miss a majority, all, or just a game or two? I hate to say it, but I almost will call this season a bust without Hill. He's the Eddie Lacy of the LSU team, and undoubtedly the most explosive running back.

Who called her a slut? She was a freshman, and he was a senior. In highschool. shite that happens everyday (maybe not inside the locker room)

If his revocation hearing goes well, he will be reinstated and serve a 1 or 2 game suspension. If the judge reviews the video and decides the incident is bad enough to warrant violation of probation, he will have more to worry about than football

Yep, that's what I said a few posts ago. The reason why a bunch of us have been making a big deal about the events leading up to the fight is because the judge has to consider any mitigating/aggravating factors in using her discretion

What was your opinion of the video? If you were a neutral judge would you revoke probation?
