It's a pretty terrible point though, the Flyers haven't won a Cup in 30 years.

You can't really get under a Pens fans skin with the Flyers because of their lack of success.

That would be like trying to use the Red Sox to get under a Yankees fans skin.

this might be the dumbest analogy ive ever seen when talking about rivalries.

People in those cities despise each other in all sports. frick the records and titles, o yea you wouldn't fricking know b/c you are not from philly or pittsburgh.

I hate the Flyers...Bobby Clarke is a huge douchebag that fricked over Roger Neilson when he got cancer, they have always employed size over skill, and what they did for Hockey's reputation in the 70s lingers to this day in America's conciousness...LCD crap that perfectly suits Philla...

If I were a Penguins fan, I'd want to talk about the Flyers did against other teams, too. That way people wouldn't pay attention to how the Flyers beat y'all.

I like how hog claims there's this huge rivalry with the Flyers, then says the history doesn't matter to him, and he's not bothered by anything the Flyers do. So... how is that a rivalry again?

He's neutral not backing anyone from what it appears, that is usually his stance.

he basically contradicted the point he was trying to make before

yet this is why no one like pens fans esp bandwagon ones who are clueless.

i like the Caps, but not a fan of Ovie per se, I respect his work and what he does for hockey but as I have said repeatedly I would rather have Sid to build around...I think you are wrong about The Caps in this case, they are a rival for Pittsburgh, especially given the geographical proximity...

that's very true. The Broad Street Bullies still cast a long shadow. That was the gooniest team ever. I complain about the Bruins goon tactics in today's game, and they are a bunch of pansies compared to the 1970s Flyers.

Same way my Cardinals are Rivals with the Cubs.

The Cubs lead the all time series, you think we give a frick? We have 11 world titles and they are the Cubs, cursed from ever winning another title since the 1900's.

When one franchise can't win a title for a longggg period of time while the other has just recently won a title, and are favorites yearly to win another, those head to heads don't really mean shite, you just laugh and pity them.

He said they're rivals? Which I also said?

All I said was that it's died down and isn't near the Flyers rivalry.

So he spoke the same that I spoke.

Correct, you are born a Cardinal in this state, it's a baseball state through and through and their minor league team is here where I live as well.

Hockey, no one knows what that is for the most part.
