some people who are diehard NBA fans just don't want to accept the truth or they just don't understand basic economics. they are usually the same people who act as if the pathetic fan support and attendance our local Hornets/Pelicans have consistently received since day one of being in NOLA is no big deal either.

, but do you really see precision plays being run, pick and rolls, alley oops, good passing, etc.? all I see is bombs, butchering, and slams

I guarantee you those complaints aren't the real problem he has with the NBA.

I mean, a lot of this is a product of LSU football being awesome.

The Pels will never get "this kind" of support without LSU basketball being a powerhouse.

Read this thread and see

Pretty much turns a troll thread into "pels will always have sucky attendence blah blah"

he gets very angry at excuses

quote:

no you haven't. you've just mocked and attacked me or anyone who dares to bring it up. I'm just posting the facts about it. I want the team to succeed here, but it makes me cringe to hear the lame excuses that some have for the pathetic fan support. I've actually heard some idiots on the Hornets board blame poor attendance on "high school football games" being played at the same time. its those types of excuses that 90% of other sports teams fan bases would laugh out the room.

Because kids in br learn lsu first. So if lsu is fun...thy look for the fun..lsu shows them basketball can be fun..get a lttle older...you branh out to more fun.

A whole generation grew up thinking football was great because they grew up with winning. Outside of select years..basketball is sucky to them because its no bandwagon for them to follow. Nonr of their friends like it. Lsu being good rises awareness for all of the area in basketball.
Its why we hae a generation that truely believes college baseball is fun. And because of that more people consider the, selves baseball fans in br before bball

I think if that's the case they need to enlarge their area of adventure because that's damn pathetic. I grew up on baseball first, then track. Didn't learn about football til I started totin' that rock. Basketball came later. People just have to expand their mindssssss.
