Played my first online game tonight. Went down 2-0 early as I was getting used to the difference between offline and online. Finally got on a roll and scored. After half the guy just played possession with his back four for nearly the entire half. Is this common online? Definitely made me want to stick to Manager Mode.

I don't do it whenever I go up, but it's not hard to take the ball anyway...

You think that would help? I figured that was the problem, no wonder I got a "needs improvement" in PE.

I had my players on "high pressure" and ultra attacking to get them up the field. Didn't have much success. I got off 3 shots in the 2nd half. So, what I'm getting from this (and what I expected the case to be) is that I just suck?

I rarely see that except if its really late in a game. The best way I've found to counter that is to go ultra attacking and high pressure. Congests that part of the field and forces them to either turn it over or go up field.

Yep did that but he would go up field then turn around and long ball back to the keeper.

That sounds like a fairly risky play considering your forward is pushed up so far. Looks like you played some cum bubble who just got lucky with that hogwash.

when i would get pissed at some gimmick guy on 10-12 i would just play possession, regardless if i was up or down

i kept it an entire half once

*ETA: i was also that guy on madden online back in the day (early-mid 00s) who would get pissed at gimmick bitches and i would run a slow-pased rushing offnese and basically eat up entire halves

If you cant win about 14 out of your first 15 games online then you suck. You should breeze through the division 12, 11 whatever it is.
