Catholiic church, Crusades, schismatic fighting between Catholics and Protestants, Grand Inquisition, and a list along those lines is the only way to explain it.

You have to be extremely ignorant to conflate Christ with these others. This is off the charts madness.

Most Muslims would probably say the same thing about Muhammed.

Wouldn't make them correct. Muhammad himself used violence to spread his religion.
Seriously those of you saying this stuff should be killed in the name of religion. Oh wait I don't really mean that b/c I'm Christian.

Now talk about the Crusades as if you actually understand them.

Well I would argue that Chrust, nor his father approves of 99.9% of 'Christians' today, nor do they listen to their prayers.

I would argue that most factions of Christianity are the result of being deceived into thinking they are worshipping God.

We pray 'Let your kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also upon the earth.

That has not happened yet. I would argue that the rich and powerful don't want any kind of change in their world. But it will happen. It will all end quite quickly and unexpectedly.

Well God is a slightly higher authority than Muhammad. He can kill millions if he wants to since he created them. Plus he has a Peace Prize.

Allah did as well, read the Quran.

But we are talking about the person of Jesus, the historical figure.

Mohammed was exponentially worse than anything you think about Jesus.

While unpopular in liberal academia, there is a strong historical perspective of the Crusades as a defensive action.

True, Mohammedans threw the first punch.
Both sides talked up religion to fire up their bases, but the real drivers may have been more economic than anything else.

Yeah it's like the entire Muslim Conquest never happened for some people.

That's why I wanted to keep religion out of it. I was asking solely about them as historical/political figures.

FWIW, I think Marx has a decent claim as the worst, considering the tens upon tens of millions that died, and the hundreds of millions that have lived in complete subjegation, as a result of his political philosophy.
