I can respect that russian....their brand is just so strong though, I read somewhere it was 1st or 2nd right there with coke as far as brand recognition.I was at the apple store maybe a month ago buying a macbook, and I asked the sales lady and she said the store was busier than ever, granted that was the lincoln road location in miami.....but she said sales are higher than ever, so first quarter earnings are intriguing.....the cash on hand is what intrigues me, along with the possible tv changing the world if they do what I think they will......I just feel they have something big but dont want to announce it bc everytime they do it seems everyone else just copies their idea(see the iwatch now everyone has a watch in development)

also read they're adding one apple store around the world every 10 days, and those are utterly cash cows

$405 right now just WOW

It's still too early to tell if Jobs' successor can keep AAPL leading the way like Jobs did.

APPL's lofty price has always been based on expected growth from innovating new products. Can the new guy continue the innovation?

Uncertain so far. Hence, too much uncertainty for me.

THIS!

Also, didn't they report record breaking earnings last quarter? What did that get them?

What will earnings be in 3-5 yrs? What will the android base be doing? What will other competitors be doing? Where are all the fan boys from recent years?

So do you think poor earnings are already priced in? I have been thinking about taking the little I am still up and moving over to vanguard funds. I don't think I will do any better as an individual investor, probably worst honestly. Felt like a genius when it was way up, but there is that reality that beating the indexes is a MF to do, even for money managers, I am a network engineer...

3-5 yr I honestly think PM's are a better buy than Apple.

Having said that, load up the truck on Apple, the jinx is on

I always operate under the assumption that all available information is priced in.

That assumption always remains to be seen and no one knows the future, especially regarding technology rate of change and "growth" companies. It may be a great day to buy, who the f knows with certainty?? Is it safer than @ $700? Maybe.

That's correct. No one has available information about the future.

But the past is a different story...

Nah, otherwise adjustments would not be made frequently to then "known" data and info. We can agree to disagree. AAPL sure didn't front and center on Jobs health, either.

AAPL has lost ~43% of it's value in the last 7 months while the general market has made new all time highs. This is not the sign of a healthy stock that one should like at buying and holding for a long term investment.

Exactly. This stock has a lot to prove before it should be considered a buy IMO.

Buy Low, Sell High......catching apple here is pretty damn low

itunes= $15,000/min profit

apple's horrible 2012 4th quarter = $13B in profit and the most any company has ever brought in 1 quarter....ever.....does that sound like a suffering company?

This honestly reeks of manipulation ala gold/silver and some people are about to go long and make a ton of money. Apple has a certain je ne sais quoi about it where I would never switch brands at this point with laptops, phones, etc.....theyre products are awesome and they work so well. I've been through 3 HP,Dell computers at work in the last 2 years and my MB pro at home has been running like a gem for a few years, its amazing. Im not trying to be a fan boy, but they have good products and a decline in profit from $13B to $10B is still a damn amazing quarter haha

As stated before, I do not think it is about earnings with them. It is about innovation.
