My first thought watching was "people like me, who say 'Kevin Conroy IS Batman" and "Mark Hamiil IS the Joker' will say 'Kevin Costner IS Jonathan Kent'".

All of the casting looks spot on to me, unlike Superman Returns.

I might've gone after Rachel McAdams as Lois (go watch "State of Play" to see her play a reporter) and perhaps Kurt Russell or Dennis Quaid for Jonathan Kent. But who knows...maybe some of those turned down roles.
I really think Amy Adams is going to be pretty good in the role.
The only one that bugs me is Laurence Fishburne as Perry White. I like him as a actor, but that's kinda weird.
