into the wind: how much does the wind need to be blowing (mph) to hit one club higher?

with the wind: Club down same difference?

Assuming average penetrating trajectory

I have it where if I drop loose grass from my eye line and it travels 10 feet into any direction its about 7-8 yards.

I belive that once it is more than one club it's a crap shoot. The more the iron the lower the flight the less the affect or is that effect. In most cases I'd rather be wrong short than long. Especially if you are wrong with the help of the wind.

I more or less just try to feel the wind and determine if its a one club wind or even more perhaps.

I was just wondering how golfers make a direct correlation between wind speed and yardage

Depending on the wind I just flight it down. If its 15+ club up as flight it alittle different

It also depends very much on your ball flight

I also believe playing in the wind is something that is learned with practice. And also must take into account where you would rather be on the green. Say I'm hitting into the wind but and hole is on the back of the green. Long is dead but short leaves you a decent uphill putt. Then I probably wouldn't take the extra club or baby an extra club to be in the better spot for my next shot.

The main problem is that a lot of people don't look at their next shot and where the correct miss is

I believe it's one of the biggest mistake amateurs make.

Golf is a game of managing misses IMO. And taking advantage of the good shots
