I'm in 10th place in a 12 team 6x6 league.

Thank you very much in advance for any feedback.

Appreciate any advice on helping a struggling team....but specifically any areas where it looks like I'm holding on to a struggling player who isn't worth it. This is my first year back in after two away.

C v Martinez
1b a Rizzo
2b J. Gyorko
3b A. Beltre
SS S Castro
OF A. Mccutchen
OF S victorino
OF d Jennings
Util E. Gattis

Bn- M. Carpenter (who should get 2b elig soon)

DL- Texiera
DL- cespedes

P- baumgarner
P- lincicum
P- Kuroda
P- Niese
P- Beckett (just picked up to stream?)
P- J. Fernandez

Rp - Rivera
Rp - Parnell
Rp- a. Reed
Rp- j Benoit (added Wednesday)

Thanks again for any help or direction.

IMO, I see a few spots where guys are just off to slow starts offensively. Think my pitching stinks.

While your team has some players scuffling right now, it looks pretty good. Baseball is a marathon, not a sprint. As long as you aren't getting goose egged every week, hang tight and just be patience for the time being. Looks like a playoff team to me.

Gattis is on a huge hot streak but he'll lose out on time when BMAC gets back so you could try to trade him for someone who will have more time later in the season.

Thanks to both of y'all for the feedback.

Will sit back and let a few of the bats heat up, and will also try to move Gattis while he's hot to potentially bolster the pitching staff.

Drop Benoit, pick up Cingrani. He's RP eligible but will start for the Reds

Try and trade Gattis for a guy like Gallardo, who is a notorious slow starter.

Yeah sit tight for the most part, 10th place is not a problem at this juncture

Is carpenter your only bn player? I'd drop Benoit and pickup another hitter (of). I'd also monitor Timmy's starts very carefully. He is a whip killer and hurts the era these days too. Unless you're chasing k's, he's not a good value at present time. Can't get deep enough into games to get qs's nor w's

Thanks for all the help. Made a few of the suggested moves, and hanging out about 8th.

Just a few updates and follow ups that is appreciate advice on. And as always, thanks in advance....

1b- Rizzo- how long do I stick with him. He's at least gotten a few homers and RBI. See reports he could be sent down, but only options on waiver wire are Kendry Morales, Justin Morneau and Brandon Belt.

Of - Shane victorino - is he droppable for a Lorenzo Cain, Chris young, G parra or De AZa?

I'm still holding Matt Carpenter, but worry its more versatility that performance. Did pluck k seager of ww to start at 2b.

Thanks for any advice opinions

Stick with Rizzo. He will not get sent down. Kendrys and Morneau are good options though. Belt is a cocktease.

Why? Victorino is a superior version of those guys. Chris Young has 20-20 potential though.

Victorino will not be playing for the next few days though with a back injury.

Definitely go for Chris Young if you have room. His AVG/OBP/OPS will not help you, but he is worthwhile in the counting stats. Good HR/SB combo.
