There was also a patch last night, the SU85 is pre patch Panther levels of owning. It was killing my Panthers one on one.

altho lets be honest, once germans got to panthers it was almost always game over.

Yeah it was very difficult, have to flank with panzershreks or IVs

It's ok, but by the time you get it out they should have anti tank for it.

And the thing is that they already nerfed the Panther and now they buffed a cheaper counterpart in the SU85. I really had a hell of a time getting rid of them, because they support them with conscript spam. The conscript + 85 is unstoppable right now. I had two IVs + panzergrenadiers + anti tank and I still took heavy losses.

I'm gonna try to arty commander tomorrow. Maybe if I can get them away from points early I can prepare for SU85.

I finally managed to stop a 1 on 1 SU85 + Anti-tank rush. Unfortunately my teammates couldn't so we lost, but it was progress. It required me using the mortar truck incendiary rounds to clear out the anti-tank emplacements and two of my P4s died distracting the 3 85s. I used the pak38 + PGs to finish off the three 85s. What is ridiculous is that it requires the mortar truck to do this, but it's a specialty unit so you are SOL with the other commanders.

damn... nice strat but we are getting close to lvl 45 and the Opel Blitz Truck! And that commander has the tiger tank too.
good strat tho... hi level soviets wont be expecting mortar halftrack since it is a early commander.
Also lately ive just been going all P4s... not even teching up to tier4 unless I need a rocket truck. Panzer 4s are good enough.
Recrewing stolen enemy weapons is so clutch. I love bringing a halftrack and a engineer squad into an area and taking all the soviets mortar and anti tank

Yep, using the incendiary rounds clears the infantry but leaves the equipment. It is really lol worthy at how bad the pak38 is, the three man crew makes it totally useless.
