I gave it some thought last night, might go with LMG - G - Mortar (gasp) - then tech up and get pak 38. While I'm waiting I'll get a command bunker up and running to resupply.

i switched BOs to
LMG - Gren - Gren - Mortar - Upgrade - Scout Truck - Halftrack - anti tank - panzerGs
usually its decent. the Gs can hold off the trucks for the most part, while mortar is generally a pain in the arse for the others.
Basically hold off until the scout truck/flametruck/AT emplaement is up and running. try to tank our 1 or 2 of their vehicles and then immediately counter.

I dunno, I should have screencapped what made me so mad last night. I have two grenadiers use the panzerfaust ability on a flame halftrack and it damages engine and takes it down to about 1/8 health. I ordered my guys to pull back and try another shot but they went into suppression mode when the flame hit them and it killed both units. It was unbelievable.

Yikes. Yeah I understand the rage. That flame halftrack is a bitch. You hafta ambush it I guess.

The reduced range guaranteed that the halftrack would be on top of me by the time the shots hit it, nothing I could do. Gonna try to work out the kinks of this build order soon.

I was south.....again
I went LMG - G - Mortar - pak
I got pushed back by the flametruck but had built a command bunker and the player fixated on destroying that while I brought the pak into range. Worked pretty well as I hammered some infantry who were suppressed with the mortar.

never knew how important skype was for this game until we didnt have it
when that soviet flame halftrack rushes you at bottom fuel , i can come lend a grenadier squad quicker!
or at the least we can coordinate our attacks and repairs better.
