Again just a workout test that reveals nothing that we didnt know already...however if he is available I just dont know how you could pass on him...unfortunately unless some dirt comes out soon I think he will be long gone by 15. Still fun to watch.

I agree. I hope I'm wrong but I think he'll be gone.

That entire highlight video he is either unblocked, tied up at the line, late to the QB...

late to the QB is still a hurry...these things tend to cause turnovers

mingo is raw but every great pass rusher in the league came in with the same label. he has probably the highest ceiling of any player in the front 7 in this draft. he isnt a safe pick then again neither is dion, ziggy, or anyone else. i just look at him and i see it...the kid is special.

Anyone know if Drew Brees ever did the Sports Science video thing? It'd be cool if so.

I don't know why we still discuss Mingo on this board when I'd put his chances of being available when we select at somewhere around 2%, BUT I completely agree.

for me that's more Jordan. Between Mingo AND Jones I'm thinking it is pushing 50% that one of them is there. Could be a simple as whichever one the Jets don't take at #9 we take 6 picks later.

I REALLY hope you're correct.

crazier things have happened in the draft...from AP, Aaron Rodgers, patrick willis etc. people fall every year that no one anticipated

Which happens very often, the point is that he can still make a play.

JJ Watt had 20.5 sacks last season, so that means even the best get tied up at the line, or are late to the QB. and if a team doesn't read a blitz right he would be unblocked to the QB.

I mean it is sports science, but you don't have to put a shitty perspective on it.

We didn't have any unblocked or late to the QBs last year. Except for the Eagles game.

I hope you're right. My fear is Jordan goes 2nd and the Bills pick Mingo or Jones and the Jets pick whoever is left.

"Mingo leaps forward from a still position at nearly 4000 lbs per square inch. That's equal to the force of 5 adult cheetahs."

My point is if he wasn't unblocked in that video he was tied up at the line. A couple of the highlights were running backs running through his gap then he gets them from behind, they still gained a few yards. He doesn't have any highlights showing an impressive move past an oline man or an impressive jump off the snap beating an oline man. I don't find his highlights that impressive, and the blockers he'll be going up against in the pros are so much more skilled at picking up and recognizing blitzes. I just don't see him as our guy and I dont want him as our pick.

Mingo

I have never seen so much hate for a draft player before.

Mingo is not my first choice either especially at #15, but thinking he can't develop into a great nfl player... before he even plays a down? is ridiculous.

this board is retarded sometimes.
