Prime Prep (#4 HS team) plays Monteverde (#2 HS team) at 1:30 on ESPN2 and ESPN3.
LSU Signee Jordan Mickey is the star player for Prime Prep and Ben Simmons (Godson of LSU Ast Coach, David Patrick) is a top 5 recruit for the 2015 class plays for Monteverde. Simmons played in his first US high school game of his career yesterday. He recently moved to the United States from Australia. LSU is high on his radar.
Yesterday Jordan Mickey (LSU Signee) recorded 28 points, 8 blocks, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists in an OT victory over the #9 HS team in country.
This is all part of the biggest invitational tournament in high school basketball. 8 of the top teams in the country are participating so it is a big time event where recruits can square off against top competition.
Here's a link to ESPN 3 for the game - LINK

2013 basketball commit (Mickey) vs 2015 uncommited (Simmons)
We, along with Duke, lead for Simmons and the kid is big time.

Mickey is a top 50 player in the country this year, but a ton of recruiting analyst think he is still too low and should be a top 25 type player. He is very versatile and brings Tyrus Thomas type hops. Dude can flat out play.

Thank you. Lets hope he is a star for us. Monteverde is coached by the guy who used to coach St. Patrick's in Elizabeth, right? and St. Benedict's is playing in the tournament

All of the national analysts yesterday were dumbfounded with Mickey.
They haven't seen him play ball since last summer, and his development has really taken place. He would be a lock for the all American game Martin participated in if they could redo the rosters.
Oh well, great pickup for us!

Mickey hits a 3 pointer to start the game!

We stacked next year.
Mickey and Martin will be hard to guard with their versatility.

Hasn't been really good so far. It took them a few minutes yesterday also to get going.

If I was Mickey or even Shepard I would be incredibly frustrated with some of the shots the guards take
