i wouldn't say pretty obviously. lots of reputable sources saying Chelsea is coming in strong late. Spurs bid 35m euros for him...chelsea upping that isn't obviously not true.

that too. i mean, in the galacticos sense, it doesn't hurt. just an absurd price. doesn't seem worth it.

why do they even need him?

What type of player is he? He's listed as a winger. If true, we need him in the worst way. Someone, anyone who can provide quality width is more important even than a stop striker imo.

He scores a good bit of goals on set pieces, you thinks cr7 is gonna give those shots up...

Uh, no. But Bale can take the ones that suit a lefty.

Is Destro good enough that losing Lamela will be ok?

I have no idea what we're doing this summer to be honest. However, if the Marquinhos deal is any indication of a plan it's to move these huge price tag younger players that have been a bit too inconsistent to get us to a CL spot and use the money to invest in a veteran + another young talent (Marquinhos money went to Benatia and Jedvaj).

My better guess is that the money for Lamela (who to be fair to Sporting Director Sabatini hasn't been very consistent) was just so much that plans changed on the fly.

Lamela played right wing and Destro center forward so selling Lamela doesn't really mean much as it regards Destro.

Destro is going to be a very good #9 but he's having a had time recovering from a knee injury and it's questionable when he'll be back.

I think we are going to buy a veteran #9 to spell Destro until he's ready but he seems the guy going forward when healthy. He's really at his most effective, by far, as a center forward though.

I'm guessing another versatile winger type is going to purchased as well.

As it stands now, it seems that we'll be playing a Spalletti-esque 4-6-0 with Totti as a false 9 until the transfer window closes.

pjanic too or no?

Pjanic seems to be definitely staying. Rudi Garcia loves him. Some wonder if the Lamela move will see him playing further up the pitch where he did have some of his best games for Roma but I'm not sure.

Also, Bradley will certainly be getting a ton of minutes to prove himself to Garcia right away. Strootman will be out for a month with an ankle sprain.

Bild reporting Poldi on loan to Schalke with Arsenal paying some of his wages. Makes sense for Schalke (other than him being cup-tied) with their current injury issues (and Arsenal paying part), but stupid for Arsenal.

FC Schalke needs a left winger pretty bad. It would make sense. They have Clemens and Meyer who are both talented but neither are ready to be every day guys, Meyer is just 17.

What percentage of transfer rumors would you say that you believe?

Maybe 10% for me.

This one is retarded.
