I've got my hunting backpack which might have a few bug out items in it. I also have a backpack under the seat in my truck that has a Henry US Survival rifle with 200 rds.

BOB, naw. I do have my hunting bag readily available, matches, hand warmers, TP, etc. Water always in stock at the house. And plenty of ammo ready to go.

Ive got the five C's in a bag along with some extras like antibiotics tooth paste tp and what not. If it ever hits the fan I dont plan on being seen till its all over. Walking around with a whole bunch of crap on or sitting on a pile of supplies just makes you a target.

A BoB and a get home bag in each vehicle. Currently they're all unloaded and spread out on my basement floor so I can reshuffle and repack.

That's my plan. High quality, working firearms, and adequate stock of ammunition are the only real preparations one needs to make. If you do that, you will be able to acquire everything else you need. If you skip this step (or abstain for admirable, moral or ethical reasons), you will not be able to protect any of your other preparations.
It's a no brainer.

Or I can have all of that plus multiple AR-s, pistols and shotguns without having to go to town looking for people and exposing myself.
