I just spread the Scotts Weed N Feed (I think that was the name of it) in my backyard and I was told to wait 8 weeks until I spread the next bag of Scotts Turf Builder...is that true or do you have a different timeline that I need to consider?
Thanks.
Thanks.

pretty standard to wait 1400 hours before your next feeding.

Need to give it some time for sure. Fertilizer will work for a long time, but if you put too much it will kill the grass. Products like roundup are just super concentrated fertilizer that kills anything it touches.

I never use weed and feed. IF you lawn is healthy the grass will choke out the weeds. I start with Turf Builder, add lime as needed and gypsum,
For early spring use Jerry' bakers spring wake up tonic
google it

I believe Scott's recommends fertilizing every 8 weeks or so.

For really good lawn fertilize more frequent with less per application. That way you won't get the big flush of growth.
Just keep it short and green.

If you have centipede grass, be careful with fertilizer, It is much easier and dangerous to over fertilize than under, it only needs a little at the beginning of the season and a little in the middle, make sure you use something that is meant for centipede the middle number (phosphorus) should be 0. Much more harm has been done to centipede lawns for over fertilizing
