Will Harris? Smoke really screwed the pooch on this one.

Can't say I remember any "great" ones... At least off the top of my head.

I don't mean that I want to swap pitchers for him, I mean watching Eibner, Reed, and other pitchers who can hit has made me a little jelly for that particular type player.

Skip Bertman was pretty adamant about not wanting his pitchers to do anything else.

That's why some great players would go to other schools, but all things considered, it was a wise policy.

Of course Mouton & McDonald played for Dale Brown, but that's another story...

LSU has had none if any that I recall. One of the best ever was Tim Hudson and Todd Helton. Both pitched and played first base.

Seems to be. As a freshman (definitely not now, because the risk is too great) I would have liked to have seen Eades get more chances to hit. Same with Broussard.

Brooks Kieschnick from Texas was probably the best I can remember hitting & pitching in the CWS.

For LSU since '84, I'd say Harris is the most regular pitcher/hitter we've had.

Yeah. He's one of the top 5 or so college baseball players ever.
