pretty solid first episode. Supposed to be a SciFi thriller.
It airs on the BBC after Doctor Who. It might be on BBC America. Anyway, I recommend. You can find it here :

I watched it after Dr Who last night. I thought it was a pretty decent first episode. Enough to have me keep watching after I watch Dr Who weekly anyway.

I liked it and will continue to watch.

I've been so caught up in the GoT whoopla I forgot Who was coming back. Have been looking forward to Orphan Black as well.
Will check it out as soon as I'm done watching the Defiance pilot.
ETA:
Defiance pilot preview.

I guess I'm in the minority because I didn't care for it. I had no interest in the characters. In addition, there appears to be no hurry to get to the supposed premise of the show (which is spoiled in every preview).
I can only take so much low-budget Canadian sci-fi (Continuum).
If I want a show about someone pretending to be a cop, I'll stick with Banshee.

anybody keeping up with this show? It's getting progressively worse week by week. I didnt even finish this last episode. SInce this this is a Canadian sci-fi show, I can handle the average performances, but the black cop partner is so unbelievably bad as an actor, I can barely pay attention to the rest of any scene he's in. The gay brother is just annoying.
Not sure this one can be salvaged

Bumping this thread because it seems there are quite a few watching it now.
I must admit that I was having a hard time getting into it the first couple episodes because the lead character was pretty unlikeable.
As things have gone on it's really sucked me in. The woman playing all the roles is doing a superb job establishing each of them as individuals. Believable accents as well as gestures and other nuances that in combination with hair/wardrobe... it's actually really working IMO.
I like how they've established strengths and flaws for each. The fricking soccer mom is hilarious and you actually feel some compassion for the Ukrainian killer one (even while she's clubbing with that dude's bloody tail).
HOLY shite the ending to tonight's episode... Other than them not saying the F word for whatever reason - This show doesn't pull any punches.

I really like this show, it gets better each episode. It's amazing the actress can play all of the parts and give each character their own personality.
Soccer mom is hilarious!

Yeah, this show just keeps getting better. She is doing a fantastic job playing all the characters. The soccer mom parts of last nights episode were cracking me up.

Good finale but fairly predictable, they never really dropped any "holy shite" twists.
I couldn't quite make out the photo. Was that Ms. S? I also wished they could've kept Helena around and got her to switch sides. She was an intriguing character with some fun potential.
Why couldn't they shitcan the black cop/partner? That guy is fricking terrible, can't act for shite

I'm assuming it was Mrs. S in the photo and it appears that they want control of Kira.
Helena was a great character, I wonder how many "versions" we will be introduced to?
FYI, Donnie was the monitor? So that means Ainsley really was trying to be Allison's friend.

Nope... Saw the commercials WAY too many times while watching other things and got absolutely sick of "I don't even know what backup is"

I assume the same, but couldn't tell for sure

I don't think that was ever in doubt, not for a second, especially if she's indestructible. I'm guessing Ms. S feels guilty for her participation in all this 30 years ago & will try & protect sarah and kira - which will lead to some very dramatic scene between those three.

Yes she was awesome

I hope a lot more, that actress is pretty incredible, I'm sure she can pull it off.
quote:that was about the worst executed plot twist I've seen. There wasnt one second this season where I actually bought that story. They should've made Ainsley's husband the monitor, that would've been much more interesting.

Hopefully so, would be kinda lame if she was straight up bad.

She really has been fantastic. She has some serious acting chops. Be interesting to see if she picks up some movie roles after this show.

Yeah, they made it totally obvious the hubby was the monitor when he was burning the stuff and talking to his handler on the phone earlier in the season, I didn't get what they were trying to do there. If they had left that part out maybe it would have been believable. Poor Ainsley.
Anyway, it was a great season and great finale. Looking forward to the next season.
