The new cards are already out.
R9-270X = performance in between a Tahiti 7870 and a 7950, priced in the $200 range
R9-280X = roughly the same as 7970 and in the $300 range
R9-290X = Somewhere between the 780 and a Titan, even beats the Titan in some games. Priced in the $550 range.
7950 prices will not be going down unless you buy used. They were $200 before the new cards were released, and the 270X pricing seems to have driven the prices back up. PC parts generally enter a state of price limbo once they go out of production.

EDT: Reason I say 780 is because it is a GK110 PCB but doesn't have the extra memory modules on the backside, so must be a 3GB card.

I use credit cards for everything possible but I treat them like debit cards and pay it off right away. Basically I funnel money through them to get reward points.

My bank/debit card actually gives better reward points over my credit card. Maybe I should actually get another one. The 1 I do have open has been open for quite some time.

If my debit card offers a good reward I will use it but in general I get better rewards for my credit card.

I use credit cards for reward points too. I have accumulated just enough for a pack n play or a color video baby monitor, so that's handy.

I have some encounters with baby monitors picking up other neighborhood monitors. The GF has this retard cousin who called us over one night because of a "haunting". She repeatedly kept getting a signal of a lady rocking a baby. Turned out to be a neighbor they have never meant.

This has been all over the gaming news lately. This is a bit of a concern for next gen. I'm not sure how the consoles are going to handle this trying to get everyone to go digital with limited hard drive space. It's much easier for us to upgrade.
I'm going to play arkham origins but if anyone wants to play bf3 with a noob later let me know.

Yeah I saw a couple thread titles about it on OCN but dismissed it as bullshite.
That is a big fckking deal, I mean.. has to be bad programming right? A butch of texture packs because their physics is shtt? We all have much more graphically intense titles which don't come close to that.
I just think the whole dev team over there is shtt. The last few titles have been terrible.

They've been using the same engine for a very long time. It's a big franchise, and they are probably hiring the McDonalds workers of the game development world, as many as possible to cheaply crank out one COD a year.
Not sure when it will be available for me. Maybe in 45 minutes. Multiplayer is pre-loaded. Hopefully it will at least be playable.
