For those who've seen them play, where do Kendell Beckwith and

Beckwith will me an OLB and Melvin will play Mike. If Melvin doesn't work out at LB I could see him playing fullback

Beckwith could be a heck of a outside lber. Rushing the passer out of a 2 point stance could be very scary for qbs.

Against Zachary last season he lined up everywhere trying to keep ZHS from running away from him all night. He did line up initially at DE but moved to OLB. You gotta realize he was playing against HS competition. Biggest think I noticed is he has got to learn to shed blockers.

More options for Beckwith, I think.

I've seen Melvin Jones play kicker, QB, RB, FB, MLB, and TE. Against DeRidder a few months ago he lined up at TE with less than 2 minutes in the game. WM trailed DeRidder by 5 points.

Jones used his physical strength to create separation with the first defender he met, caught a short-middle length pass, and then outran, zigzagged as needed, and stiff-armed his way for about 50 yards for a go-ahead TD.

Although I think Jones will play MLB (Chief's insistence), I'm not sure he'll get early playing time. I think he could compete early for a TE position...in Cam Cameron's offense.

Melvin jones wouldnt see the field in 3 years at TE especially if we get mcneil
