I honestly don't know a whole lot about him but after hearing everyone talk so favorably about him I read his LSUSports.net bio.

He seems like he's still young in the coaching world and has very high aspirations. What are the board's thoughts on how long he'll realistically be with the tigers? It seems like his next step is to a small school coaching gig. Is this an "enjoy the ride while it lasts" ala Patrick Peterson, or do y'all think he'll be with us for quite a few years?

Frank loves LSU and would like to stay there. But eventually he wants to be moved up to OC or HC just like anyone else

He is from O perry walker so has ties to New Orleans

I think he will eventually move up here but if someone big comes and offers a good job he could roll. I don't see him taking a job at a Memphis or something like that

Coach frank's selling point is he gets us the pipeline to the Nola schools that used to be anti-LSU.

I say keep upping his salary whenever he wants.

I would love for him to get a shot at the Tulane job or even Northwestern State.

We all knew he was only here for his 3 years because he was that good and destined for bigger and better things even though it would've been great for LSU had he stayed for his 4th. We all knew just to enjoy the 3 years he was at LSU

i still don't see how comparing a player & coach makes sense.

Anyways, I'd keep him around because of his recruiting capabilities. He's a key asset in LSU's success

Frank first head coached at OP Walker and even there, instilled discipline in his players.

OP made it sound like he's a complete unknown for the program.

I think there is at least a 40% chance Frank Wilson will be the first black head coach of LSU. He is a head coach in training now, focusing on recruiting. I don't think his ego needs stroking as an OC or DC.

If Les coaches another 5 or 6 years, the timing will be just about right.

Huh? It seems clear to me that he is saying he doesn't know alot about Frank Wilson, but is he a shooting star and just using LSU as a stepping stone, or is there a chance we can keep him here for many years.
