Michael Bradley completed 98.2% of his passes tonight

Is he starting every game at Roma? Haven't been keeping up this year. He was too conservative with some of his passes tonight. I know he didn't want to risk turnovers in midfield, but passing to Edu in a crowd is going to lead to turnovers, might as well have some more risky passes

Having Jermaine would've definitely helped tonight but Edu filled in serviceably. Bradley looked to slow the game down tonight with safe passes by design. He looked great on the ball, and on defense as usual, the midfield revolves around him.

He played well today but I was somewhat disappointed. I feel like that passing percentage is a bit inflated. He often opted for the painfully simple pass instead of a more adventurous one.

Completing simple passes is important in certain systems, but not the one we ran today. I'd like to see a percentage of loss of possessions immediately following a Bradley pass.

I just don't see the positive side in making a 3 yard backward or sideways pass to a player who immediately clears it..if that makes sense. I know that isn't necessarily Bradley's fault, but until he has a couple players around him capable of making decisive forward passes, I'd really like to see him attempt a more dangerous ball every once in a while.

I certainly understand why he does it, I just don't feel like he is as effective as he could be.

I wish he had more of a Xabi role instead of a Xavi role. I feel like his talent is wasted almost solely because he is head and shoulders above most of the squad.

Very similar to Xabi except he has never fully been a box-to-box player. He's the perfect combination of a DLP and holding mid. Strong in the air, on the ball and in a tackle. Massive passing range.

i vaguely remember hearing the commentators say that he has recently found himself spending more time on the bench for roma.

Our inability to move the ball with any pace up the pitch was the reason we had zero goal-scoring chances from open play. They were committing tons forward but we went sideways and backwards enough for them to get back. The only near chance we created was with quick forward passing. There were holes to be had in the center of the pitch, but we only even attempted to exploit them once.
