here's a link on the article LINK
They expect a 10 billion yen loss which is about 106 million in U.S dollars.
They are having trouble making sales in Europe and North America.
Hopefully this will get the ff series turned back around.

Pretty disappointed in Tomb Raider half way through.

Seems like they can't do shite right anymore at SE.

i actually liked ff-13 but i know im in the minority.

So, EAs CEO and Square Enix's president step down all in about 2 weeks.

The gaming revolution has begun. These frickers wallets are finally getting hurt by putting out complete shite and abortion after abortion. Good.

Tomb raider was actually a success for them, the large $ loss comes from the restructure last year, in an effort to put out better games. This guy was probably going to resign long before tomb raider was even released.

All their other titles they are trying to sell haven't sold well. Like tomb raider and the dragon quest MMO. Plus they kept making new ff 13 games which baffles me.

learn to program keybinding and I would buy TR3. That a company can't do something as easy as that then I don't care and they should stick to consoles.

This, we were fortunate to have the heyday of squaresoft when they had absolutely amazing titles on ps1 and ps2. If they make a solid new Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy game the company will be rolling in money. I expect their Final fantasy X-X2 remaster will sell very well.

it's not that easy they would have to remake everything and to have all the graphics up to date. They will have to spend a fortune remaking every location, character, monster, and attack. Plus all the mini game stuff too. Then they would probably want to get voice actors for all the characters. Then they would need people to spend full price (60 dollars) on a remake of a game.

It was painfully slow the first few hours, it finally started to heat up after that and got better, but it just feels like I'm playing Far Cry 3 and a shittier version of Uncharted.

Just boring if you've played FC3 and all the Uncharted games, nothing really great about it, just an average game behind a lot of other titles in it's genre.

I think most people liked it, it just wasn't great. I have to think FF14 has cost them a lot of money.

I will definitely get FFX HD or whatever they call it but FFXII and FFXIII were just terribly boring, imo.

I actually loved FF 12 it just took it awhile to get going. FF 13 just didn't do it for me. FF 14 was very painful for them.

i hope so. i usually see people bashing it as not being a real FF, but I've only played X and VII (downloaded VIII and never started) so I hope that my relative inexperience with the series will help me like it

If they remade FF7 with updated graphics, and added voice acting...id easily pay the 60$ for it. Id probably pay $100 for it. Anyone who played the original would likely do the same. Nostalgia factor.

They are literally just sitting on a bank

It's only thing that's made them money on consoles in several years.

The past three western games (Tomb Raider, Hitman, and Sleeping Dogs) all reviewed very well but didn't sell very well.
