Best SEC season record for baseball series in LSU history?

What is the best record LSU has ever had from a series standpoint in the SEC?
We are 2-0 so far and obviously near impossible to go undefeated but was just curious what is the best we've ever done in a single year.

Bertman's best was the '86 team that went 22-5. LINK.

9-1 in 2009 if I remember correctly. Only series loss was to Tennessee.

The 1986 team did win every series. Of course, the SEC was a 10-team league then so LSU finished the season with a 9-0 series mark. LSU swept Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee and Auburn, and went 2-1 against everyone else.

Without looking it up I assumed 1997 would've had the best record. Didn't that team start 19-0?

A lot of people still say that 1986 was Skip's best team.

i remember that. coleman pitched the saturday game after lsu thrashed tenn the night before. there was one of those innings where lsu had like 3 errors in one inning. the final score was something like 3-1, then the next day they got crushed with austin ross throwing

After that Tenn series, PM decided to put Nola at short, and gave LeMahieu the choice of moving to 2nd or 3rd. Of course he chose 2nd and with Hanover at 3rd it was the turning point of the season.
