yesterday, katz led off 2 innings with singles. in both of those at bats, the inning prior ended with runners in scoring position. this has actually become a trend with rhymes' human like year (not an insult). our best run producer needs more at bats.

im by no means bitching about the offense but i dont think its being maximized.

In my pedestrian and amatuer opinion, rhymes should move to the 2 hole and katz up to 4.

I've made this point as well. Rhymes with his bat control is a perfect 2 hole guy. Awesome hit and run guy the way he can easily go the other way with it. Bregman is holding down the fort at the 3 and move Katz to cleanup with his RBI rate this year.

I also gave this some thought, at least moving Katz to clean up. Makes sense to me.

the only issue i see is that CPM would have a tough time wasting rhymes bat if the lead off gets on and he has to bunt

so that being said, rhymes to 5 hole?

who fricking knows

Interesting observation. I wouldn't mind protecting Katz with Rhymes at 5. Katz is getting very little to hit around now. If he could have Rhymes batting after him, teams would have to really think about pitching to Katz.

He's not that slow for it to matter that much imo. Now if he gets on with one out you're right our running game is pretty limited.

22-2 and still experimenting with the batting order, lineup & outfield on an almost game-by-game basis. Its a valid topic for discussion.

You best hitter traditionally hits third.

Valid areas of concern, we still do not have a consistent leadoff hitter and no one seems to be locking down that 3rd outfield spot. I wouldn't mess with the middle of the order the way our 2-6 are hitting.

It's nice to have these concerns while still being 22-2 (5-1).

He's the second slowest starting position player in the lineup behind Ross.
