12 gauge pump used primarily for HD?
Driven all over town and dicks is the cheapest I've found but when I'm reading on the Internet people are talkin about payin $200-$250 for theirs. Didn't know if those were outdated prices.
Thanks in advance.

For $329, if you wait a little, you can buy a Rem 870 express with 3 1/2" chamber for under $300. Don't get me wrong, but the newer mossberg pumps are cheap built. They do go on sale for under $250.

I've seen them at Walmart also. I'd rather have an 870 for that price

Walmart on siegen is the only Walmart with guns in BRand they didn't have any.
As for 870s... I wasnt posting this to make this a 870 vs 500 thread but i'll bite. Why that over the mossy 500?

Walmart in Gonzales has guns. You can try and call them.

There's nothing really wrong with a Mossberg. I had an 835 Turkey gun and now have an 870 SPS Turkey and they are very comparable as far as the way they shoot. The advantage with the 870 is that it is much more quiet when walking. The slides on the action of the Mossbergs rattle quite a bit when walking through the woods.

As I stated above. Mossberg started putting more plastic into there guns. I have one that was my first pump action gun. I was 15 years old at the time and killed a shite load of ducks and my first buck. I happen to be going on 55 now. It just sits in the gun case now. In fact, I haven't shot it in over 20 years.

I bought a rem 870 for $260 new at walmarks last year.
