According to BR after scrimmage:
__________________________________________________
Latest news we have is that Rivers may not be the back up to Mett. At least he will have to work hard to retain that 2nd position

True, but just becuse of the added addition of his running ability IMO. He still has a lot of work to do before he tests those SEC windows.

You think so? Seems like Coach likes the experienced guys at QB, but I guess Cam may have a say in that now

Rivers is the backup. If Mett goes down there is no way Les is putting a true freshman in at QB

Its not like rivers is some veteran. I don't think he's even attempted a pass in a collegiate game.

That's because Lee was earning his "Pick 6 Lee" nickname

Rivers threw a pass last year on the only play he got in during one game.

It was high and fell incomplete.

It's on the wrong board. Is it that hard to comprehend? He wasn't being a dick.

I don't see anyone other than Rivers as the backup, however, we will see Jennings as a change of pace/situational QB. So if Mett goes down, Rivers will start, but Jennings will see more snaps as the mobile/option QB

Rettig was 4 for 6 with two touchdowns in the scrimmage. Pretty impressive for a first scrimmage. Jennings was only 5 for 11 and no TDs, but rushed for 25 yards on 5 carries. If he can get his completion percentage up to 60% consistently, then he might be a legit dual threat.

Rivers was 4 for 11. Sounds like the rotation is Mett, Rettig, Jennings then Rivers.
