"Honestly, it was robbery, a disgrace, I've never played a game in these conditions," midfielder Cristian Bolanos told Reuters. "You couldn't see the ball ... if we had played without snow, we would have won, I am sure."

Somewhere Taylor Twellman is drunkenly slamming his fist on a table, and slurring something about the referee having the final decision to play on.

stuff gets lost in 20 page game threads...
This is bullshite, idt it will get overturned (that would cause serious backlash, we'd riot if not for being a 1st world country) but the mere fact they're bitching now even though they agreed to play on last night is bullshite. Piss on em, they can talk all the shite they want, we won, end of story.

Everything they said is correct. However, if they agreed to play on last night they don't really have a case.

ETA: Everything except for their matter of fact statement that they would have won had it not been snowing. That just makes them seem like sore losers.

Agreed. That was a terrible idea to host the game there. But, they finished the game, so it's on them.

If they can protest playing in snow, we can protest playing in ridiculously hot and humid conditions when we visit their sorry excuse of a country.

It's one extreme compared to the other. Soccer is an outdoor sport. The fact that they continued to play AND THEN decided to protest is purely because they lost. GTFO.

You're smarter than that.

Yes I realize that you can't compare snow to extreme heat because heat doesn't effect the playing field, but it's not a completely ridiculous argument.

The fact is, they don't a snowballs chance in hell of winning this appeal.

People who say this don't understand CONCACAF WCQ... or WCQ anywhere in the world, for that matter.

If we can be woken at 3 in the morning by their fans screaming outside the hotel, get piss bags thrown at us, have to travel with armed security, play on fields that a u-13 select team would scoff at, play in a cancerous smog....they can play in some goddamn snow
