Russian Standard Vodka

Just received a nice little present at my door from a colleague who recently visited Mother Russia. a large bottle of Russian Standard...Anyone ever had this? I'm not much of a hard liquor drinker and certainly no maven of fine vodka...

Never had it but my boss swears by it. He is a big vodka drinker and says it's his favorite.

VERY solid vodka. I'm pretty sure its available here in the states. Also it's the best vodka to use for home infusion. It's got a pretty pure, clean taste.

Solid vodka, I wouldn't turn it down.

Pretty sure you can get it at spec's. My last martini at The Davenport was Russian Standard.

thanks---if its decent, it will taste great to me as I've never done better than stole or other some such...again I don't drink this stuff very often...it has some certificate of origin on on the bottle, not sure if that is standard issue or what but htere is a lot of russian writing on the bottle.

russian standard is about the same price point as stoli (maybe even cheaper, not exactly sure)

Stoli does have a good flavor but I'm okay with Smirnoff or Svedka these days....as long as it's not Absolut.

I really like it. I find it very smooth and a good value.

He went to Russia and he brought you a vodka you can find at Winn Dixie? That's lame,but......it's my favorite! I love it in cosmos and its dangerous because you can't taste it.

re: Russian Standard Vodka

It's the largest seller in Russia. Available here in the States, their standard is okay, the platinum is great and the Imperia is the best I've ever had including the French stuff on pretty bottles..
