2014 LSU Season Kickoff game Thoughts?

2013 Kickoff Games:
LSU vs TCU - Cowboys classic
Alabama vs Virginia tech - Chick fila a kickoff.
Mississippi State vs Oklahoma State at Reliant Stadium (Houston) in the new annual kickoff classic there.
2014 Kickoff Games:
Florida State vs Oklahoma State - Cowboys Classic
Chick fil a kickoff is a double header in 2014:
Ole Miss vs Boise State
Alabama vs West Virginia
2015 Kickoff games:
(*Just announced) Wisconsin vs Alabama - Cowboys Classic
I have heard rumors that for 2014, LSU is looking to possibly play in the new Houston (Reliant) kickoff game.
Personally, I'd love to see them play in Reliant. I have long since wondered why Reliant didnt do these kickoff games like dallas and now they are doing them. Houston has largest LSU alumni base outside of Louisiana. Closer than Atlanta. Makes a lot of sense to me! Thoughts?

Mississippi State is playing Oklahoma State in the inaugural "Texas Kickoff Classic" at Reliant Stadium on Aug. 31, 2013. I'm guessing LSU will be one of the teams to play in that game in the near future.

All good games. I like the first game to be somewhat meaningful vs a decent competitor.

Guys, Labor Day Saturday games in Houston are SEC v. BigXII, so LSU is definitely an option.

Look this isnt about the loss of a home game type decision for LSU. LSU has made it clear they are going to continue to do these kickoff games as much as they can. It's a brilliant move. Less teams play that first weekend so its great exposure in that respect as well as the exposure for being in another city.
As i said, Houston has the largest LSU alumni base outside Louisiana, so this SHOULD be a priority for LSU to make happen. It's not like Baton Rouge/Louisiana fans wouldn't come. Houston isnt THAT far away.

call me a traditionalist, but why the hell can't we simply open the season at home anymore!?
