Pretty tough for a football player to play basketball considering half the basketball season is during football.
I know Bruce Ellington does it at USCe but they also had quite a few openings to play for them these last few years. You've also seen him score less and less over his career. Probably because playing 2 sports back to back is really wearing him down (and he realizes his future is in football, not basketball).

No different from when delino deshields Jr was listed as a three star football recruit for LSU. They probably made his basketball profile before he focused on football.
