I am fully aware that it is only a cut to the yearly increase and not to the amount they received last year.
So why the hell are they cutting things so much (up to 20%) because their allowance wasn't increased. I'm pretty damn sure inflation isn't at 20%.
I know I must be missing something/retarded. Help me out here.

The sequester is nothing but a word they are using to play a partisan political game.
It is such a small amount that it is insignificant, yet they play it up as the end of the world.
The only thing you need to know about the sequester is that anyone who thinks it is an actual problem is too fricking stupid to be taken seriously.
Really, that is it. It is a political ploy played up by the media. Nothing more.

Because the Obama administration's strategy once sequester went through was to make it look as horrendous as humanly possible even having cabinet secretaries and POTUS use "half truths" and try and pin it on GOP congress
This backfired big time on them
As is posted above, if you think sequester is bad you need a lobotomy (or already had one)

A complacent media and a much stronger Democrat PR system.
There is no need for cuts, but with a media that is in lockstep with the Democrats, they are able to play the blame game on the Republicans.

I'm saying this increase wouldn't cause people to keep their jobs, not get furloughed etc. it would be an increase (much higher than inflation) from last year so unless they "needed" to give more tours/create jobs it's not needed.
Also, what good reason did they give for the increases? If this is necessary in their minds, what is the purpose. It seems to me that they know it isn't needed so that must mean 1 of 2 things...
Either there is a drastic need for more money for something they can't tell us about (alien attack, civil war, etc.) or they want america to fail. Not be transformed but literally destroyed.
