GumboPot LSU Fan Saints Fan Member since Mar 2009 17426 posts	What is American exceptionalism? (Posted on 3/20/13 at 8:55 am) Is it having the biggest and baddest military on earth? Is it our form of government? Can only the things that make us proud be exceptional? Our national debt seems pretty exceptional. Should be be proud of that? What makes us exceptional compared to other countries?

The term is mostly repeated on the right. It really means nothing. Kind of like "balanced approach" and "fair share" on the left.

This new philosophy holds that we will accept virtually anything the State wants to impose upon us, if it benefits The People, and strengthens The State.
