Wife's Birthday at Restaurant August- Any Suggestions for Special Occasion?

Making my first trip home in a few years next month. Staying a couple of nights in NO and have August reservations on a Saturday night to celebrate the wife's birthday.
I've never been one to put in a word with a restaurant for a special occasion. Does anyone have any experience with putting in such a word with a restaurant in general and August in particular? Not looking for anything too overly romantic or outgoing, but would rather just like to hear some experiences.

They started me and the wife with complimentary glasses of bubbly for the anniversary, so it's worth mentioning.

If you get a dessert, they'll write "Happy Birthday" in chocolate on her plate. Don't remember if it was a complimentary thing or not...probably not.

Personally, I would arrange for a small, simple flower arrangement to be placed at the table for when you arrive.
