I'm getting closer to getting a yak for the camp, but not ready to throw in the towel yet. You heard it here first.

You may be able to find a higher quality used yak for the same or cheaper than that new ascend. If you have time to wait, I'll keep an eye out around Shreveport. For hunting, a more stable platform is desirable than a small sit-in.
With taxes, you're looking at $330. I am betting you can find something way better for you for that in short order if we look a little.

Years ago My piroge fell out the back of a truck and was run over. Was in half and in very bad shape. Used some fiberglass sheets and resin to get it back in working order. Was the ugliest piroge around, but it worksed. Used it for years after.
