I have to think getting to the CWS means more than getting to the 2nd round of the NIT

SB over LSU.

Kentucky has been dysfunctional all season and lost the only player who really gave a frick earlier this year.

Do you really feel like it matters or that if Robert Morris' win is in fact more important, does it make LSU's loss any better/worse?

Was nice to see the Kentucky fans applauding Robert Morris.

Wait, that didn't happen.

Stony Brook over LSU in Alex Box Stadium to get to the College World Series is a bigger achievement.

Robert Morris beating Kentucky at home in the NIT will get more attention because people care about college basketball.

I guess the better question, which victory meant more to who? The fanbases, the nation, the teams?

If its the teams, its definitely stony brook. If its the fans, its prob Stony Brook, if its the nation, its Rob Morris, because more people care about college baskeball

Robert Morris and here is why...

Stony Brook didn't just show up late to the dance, they won their way into Baton Rouge. They had a 21-3 conference record, 52-15 overall, and had almost 10 players drafted in the MLB draft, most of them in the first 12 rounds.

Robert Morris won the Northeast Conference but lost out in the tourney. They finished with a 14-4 conf. record but beat absolutely NOBODY all season worth bragging about hence the NIT invite.

Kentucky has three Blue Chip Freshman (Nerlens Noel is out), a four star, Wiltjer (a Blue Chip from last year), and countless other highly ranked recruits. They are the defending champions and a good coach would never let what happened to them, happen. See Coach K, Tom Izzo, etc...

I no longer give a shite about this and I am done. Which is exactly how I feel about the NIT

seriously- Kentucky basketball is near the pinnacle of the sport. Up there with the Lakers and Celtics, Duke, Carolina etc, in terms of recognition and name value.
Say "basketball" and "Kentucky" and people know who you are talking about.

Say "baseball" and "LSU" and you don't get anything like that. Just simply, nobody outside our little pond here gives a crap about college baseball, not like they do with college basketball.

For that reason alone, Robert Morris' win over Big Blue is a far bigger story.

Which one mean more? Easy. SB earning a chance to play for a national title CLEARLY outweighs RM earning an opportunity to advance to the 2nd round of the NCAA Consolation tournament.

Which one will more people hear and/or care about? RM's win over UK simply due to the fact that college basketball is vastly more popular nationwide than college baseball
