Making my way to Jazzfest for the first time this year. I'll be driving in from ATL on the first Friday.

What time does everything get going on Friday? Also, what's the cheapest way to buy tickets for the first weekend? I see they're being sold for $50 per day online. Is that as good as it gets?

Each day starts at 11.

The earlier special on tickets is over, 50 per day is a good price. At the gate I believe they may be 65

Your going to want to look at jazz fest grids to find out what to see at night. The last act at the festival every day starts at like 8, and most people to play in a bar or something at around 10.

hmmm looks like I may be driving in late Thursday or cutting the drive in half. I would hate to miss most of the day. Thanks for the responses.

if you want to see anything on Friday, i would definitely recommend that. once you make it here, check into the hotel, find your way over to the festival and all that..... the day will essentially be at its close.

Ticketmaster will rape you for another $10 in service charges.

I was going off memory from a couple years ago, thanks for giving correct info. I'm going to be asking off work first Friday so I can get a full day in

Ticketmaster is still better than stubhub. Their prices will raise your blood pressure.
