Anyone got any good recommendations for a sportsbook? I've been to many of the Vegas sportsbooks, but never during a busy time like March Madness when many of them have $$ per person minimums to spend on food/drink.

Lagasse's has a $200 per person minimum, which I don't think we'd hit in the 2-3 hours we'll be there watching games.

Any recommendations? (we're staying at the Mirage FWIW)

The cool places have been booked for awhile now.

You have to book tables a long time in advance

Going with a group of contractors that go every year and like to go to the book at Green Valley. Don't know about covers or min. there as it will be my first time

Bellagio is one of the few books that I have found that doesn't charge for drinks or require drink tickets. No clue what they do on weekends like March madness though. I have been for college football weekends and have never paid more than whatever I tipped the waitress.

I think that changed.

My favorite sportsbook is the Wynn.

Bally's has an underrated book. We always hung out at Mandalay Bay as well. Normally, a good plan is to place your bets and then go gamble at the tables, as there will be TV's set up all over the casino. I watched one tourney primarily from the Luxor poker room. We just kept getting up to place bets and just kept coming back to our poker game.

Would stay away from both of these places

Really? Luxor is admittedly low rent as hell, which is why it's great. It's connected to Mandalay Bay, so it's a short walk and you get nothing but degenerate gamblers... my kind of people.

But Bally's is an awesome casino. It's just a place that caters to gamblers more than tourists (well, we're all tourists in Vegas, but you know what I mean). The theme is gambling. I love that place. No one's going there to "be seen". It's not about the party, it's about betting. A lot.

Wynn is having a 100 all u can eat buffet with seating

Treasure Island is the only book left that doesn't charge

Only way to get free drinks is to be betting $1 trifectas. And tip the waitress larger than normal to start so she comes back

Bellagio and the Aria along with Mirage is always good.

One thing to look for is some of the casinos may have theaters or conference room setups. I know this is true on the first weekend and is crucial, because while the NCAA tournament is a huge deal, they still have to cater to the horseys.

Not sure if they still do it, but when I worked at the Las Vegas Hilton (Now just called LVH) they would open up the showroom/theatre and put big screens in the front with all the games.

Free entry, cheap stadium food and beer, betting station right outside the door.

Cool setup. (They also did this for NFL every Sunday)

What it looked liked for NFL games
