And this idiot epitomizes the Democrat Party.
What don't the retards understand? If you raise the MINIMUM wage for unskilled labor to $22/hour, you must then raise the wages of all workers beyond $22/hour to compensate. This would lead to huge inflation, skyrocketing pricing of goods and services, and ultimately the death of the US.

How can you not understand that raising the minimum wage to $22/hour will completely kill this country?
I work in IT, Economics was my weakest subject in college. And even I understand how that will ruin this country.

Higher wages creates more income taxes, inflation reduces the value of the dollar we use to pay off the existing debt and the value of the dollars some people save, inflation raises colas for Democratic voters.
Seems like a win, win, win, win for the Obama crowd

What's annoying... They drag in big business representatives, who operate on a wholly different level than the vast majority of business without regard to what would happen to the small business. Especially those that don't have a desire to be big business and yes the vast majority don't want to be on that level. I employ 29 people.. 19 of which are part time and only 5 full timers make over 22 an hour.. If they even raised the wage to the 10.10 she's discussing, I would be put in a position of cutting probably 5 or more part timers. None of which make min wage. All of that contingent on inflation not making up the difference

We could erase poverty quickly by raising the minimum wage.
What are we waiting for, and why stop at 22 bucks an hour?
50 bucks an hour and we all are in six figures.
Screw the war on poverty, screw food stamps, screw welfare; all we need to do is raise the minimum raise and our society's battle with poverty is fixed.
50 bucks an hour, one for each state. Easy solution.
