The auto bids of shitty conferences really hurt teams like Lsu in seasons like this.

Actually most, if not all, of those "auto bids" are deserving teams. They proved it over 4 months by winning their conf champ. Just had one bad night in their tourney. LSU on the other hand was the 9th best team in a mediocre 14 team league. When you look at it objectively, LSU didn't get screwed

Well let's look into the ncaa tourney wear if wku or hell if liberty wouldn't have won their tourney they wouldn't be in th NIT so that screwed us. Everyone is deserving but dafuq you mean we didn't get screwed auto bids should be for regular season champs. La tech deserves to be in the big dance and had won 25 games and had a great season but lost in their tourney and now they are a 5 seed in the NIT.

If by deserving you mean they are good in a terrible conference then sure. But several have RPIs in the 120s or worse. LSU should be in over those teams imo

If only we could extrapolate the 2nd half of the season over the whole season.
This team grew and got better. And it was a fun team to watch. It's only getting better from here.

I like the autobids for small conferences. I loved it when the NIT gave autobids for teams that win their regular season title, but lose in the conference tournament.

I love LSU basketball, but folks need to take the homer glasses off. This was the NINTH best team in a weak SEC.
