He was triple gobbling off the roost and flew down 100 yards from me, walked straight across the field and hung up at about 60 yards for an HOUR. Probably gobbled 100 times... Need to switch it up tomorrow.

Anybody have any luck this morning?

I haven't heard anything in two days and even though there are people everywhere I haven't heard a shot either. I was drawn to hunt a management area tomorrow and Monday. It won't be as crowded and I know it has plenty of birds. If I don't hear anything tomorrow I'm really going to be disappointed.

I hate it when that happens! Good luck with him tomorrow.

GA season opens the 23rd, and I have off Monday-Wednesday. Work Thursday, then off for Good Friday. Hopefully in all that time I can connect with one!

That's a nice one. Where in Florida are you hunting? I had a ton of turkeys around but the wind was pretty killer today. I know where they roost and I'm gonna try to cut them off because I think I can guess where they are going next (oat field on another property). It's still a little early and all the turkeys are still in big packs.

I hunt in Lake County.. Today he was quiet off the roost and we thought he moved so we went after a different bird. Sure enough we walked by the field we saw him yesterday and he is out there full strut with 8 hens..
