Insidious was the last great horror movie I've seen. Other than that the last exorcism was okay.

I think I tried to watch that one a few years ago and fell asleep. I think it was too slow and boring.
But I could be thinking of something else

No, especially V/H/S. I looked forward to that movie's release and it was very disappointing. Some of the stories were okay, though.
I kind of want to see more from Ti West. House of the Devil, The Innkeepers, and his bit in V/H/S were not bad.

Not a horror fan at all, but think Session 9 is a great movie. It's under the horror genre, but I'm not sure how it fits among others in the genre. A more seasoned horror fan will have to chime in on its horror elements.

I agree. Not a true horror movie, but had some very scary moments. The hospital was like a character in itself. I'm still not sure I understand who or what Simon was, but his voice on the tapes really creeped me out.

I liked the first segment in VHS, the rest was bad.
Did you see ABCs of Death? Ti West has one the worst segments in it, pretty disappointing.
Anyways, I'd suggest the French film Inside, if you haven't seen it.

I watched this tonight. Holy crap. We talked about it for an hour afterwards and this is the kind of movie we'll remember for a while
