Surprisingly great but hard to watch. I identified very much with Charlie, and I was in a funk after I watched it. It deserved more attention, though.

It was really depressing at times but it was a Fantastic movie. Very well acted. Logan Lerman is a really talented kid. He couldn't have played the role of Charlie any better.

All I know is that my friends who both watched the movie and read the book said the book was 100x more depressing.

I only watched the movie and thought it was great.

Loved it, it was depressing but that's fine with me. I want to read the book when I get the time.

Books are always more depressing. Book also goes into more detail and has more things Charlie and specifically his sister have to deal with. It's a good read, I still think the movie is better than the book because if how well it's acted

I might be the only person on this board that didn't like this movie. Maybe I just wasn't in the right mood when I watched plus a friend told me it was up there with The Breakfast Club...I was disappointed.

Watched this on Friday night. Really really enjoyed it. Pretty depressing but it had some nice feel good moments in there. Emma Watson was awesome as well as the actor who played Charlie.

Just my opinion but its the best coming of age movie I've ever seen! I would highly recommend it!

"Sam: Why do I and everyone I love pick people who treat us like we're nothing?

Charlie: We accept the love we think we deserve"

Best line of the whole movie

I thought it was a very good coming of age movie with an original plot. Personally, I'm just kind of tired of the genre.

Just watched it this weekend. Very impressed. I really liked it.

I assumed he was writing to his friend who had offed himself. And it was neat seeing all the mix tapes. Totally took me back to the early 90's.

In the book it was revealed that he was writing to you, the reader.
