Just bought an 1985 CJ7 and the Mickey Thompson billet wheels need some cleaning. Any suggestions on what the best product would be?

TIA.

First wet them and then take soap water in bucket and scrub with a hand brush.

Next, pick up a can of Tire Wet at Wal Mart. You just spray it on and shazam. This will set you apart from all the other white boyz.

Yeah I just wanted the front wheels to look a little better/ match up with the rear.

That pic says 2010.

If they look like that, they're ready for the Tire Wet.

EDIT: I was talking about the rubber. For the wheels, there are cleaners for those too. Check wal mart.

I used A/C acid soap diluted 1-4 in a spray bottle. I sprayed it on, let sit 30 seconds, sprayed with simple green and scrubbed away. Mine came clean and stains disappeared. Good luck!

You can clean them with wax or that Meguirs ball and then aluminum polish

Eagle One makes a wheel cleaner, freaking amazing, spray it on, let sit, hose it off, then dry the wheel. I use it all the time on my truck, cut the wheel cleaning time down under 10 mins for all 4.

I wanted to add that I had the same wheels, and the Meguirs ball is the only thing that gets in the holes on the rim.

II think Simple Green cuts into them. That is why there is special aluminum polish, but like I said, regular old wax with a buffer worked pretty well for me
