I seen something like this one time. Buncha people ridin down the road in Jeanerette on horses. They went right under the hwy 90 overpass. Must been a mile long of not whites on horses.

Fred Whitfield was and is one of the top calf ropers in the world. Doesn't make them having their own association any better. Most wouldn't stand a chance in any other association so they created their own.

True.
They were treated differently than other blacks by cattle towns. They were allowed in the saloons and access to areas was exclusive to whites, in many cases. I've heard up to a third of cattle drive cowboys were black.
