I loved their IPA. Thought the 504 beer was pretty good too.

I had fun and I love being around my friends and people like that, but I will not attend this event next year.

Will save my money for WYES, New Orleans on Tap, and craft beer week events at The Avenue Pub.

That is how they spell it. They also have some very original spelling of beer names too.

What was wrong with it to make you not want to attend next year?

It's the New Orleans International Beer Festival.

Others have talked about issues on here and the O-T, but I will summarize.

*This is a for profit event.

*They exclude home brewers from being able to give out beer(I think this is a problem with laws as much as anything).

*There is not a charity or community benefit tied to the event as far as I know.

* The beer here is nothing special.

* I paid $10 in fcking ticket master fees to attend.

I'm not mad about it all. It was still fun and I love anything involving beer, but I am not made of money. This one will have to be something I skip next year.

So how does it work with drinking the beer. Is it all you can/care to drink, take sample shots, or pay for anything you want to try?

.

This wasn't the real issue. The thing that pissed people off is that last year they scheduled it the same day as zapp's beerfest in BR, a nonprofit event.

Laws say you can't sell/make money off homebrew.

What did you hate about it? I've never been? Crowds? Beer selection?

Yes, it got to be too crowded today. Bathroom lines, food lines, and beer lines, etc. Several breweries ran out of beer.

I hate to be that bitchy poster who complaines, because that is very rarely me. It just didn't do it for me today. Sorry.
