is gonna frick it all up. I just can't see them with as many live matches as FSC.

Any word on if FSC is picking up any other premier league to fill the void from BPL?

SPL? Germans? Spanish?

Fsc is dead

About 200 games will be available on the NBC networks in six time periods on Saturday, Sunday and Monday during the league’s 10-month season. The rest will be available online or in some other packages, one of them probably pay-per-view.

“There will be live, exclusive games, and we’re not going to tape delay any of them,” said Mark Lazarus, the chairman of the NBC Sports Group. “Multiple games go on at once, and we can’t carry every one on our networks. But we won’t regionalize games.”

FSC is wildly overrated by American soccer fans. The network never really had any competition for its rights until the past few years, and never seemed to improve its telecast. That's why Eric Wynalda and Warren Barton still have jobs. ESPN and NBC wouldn't put up with their mediocre analysis. Americans just have this loyalty to it because it showed the Premier League before any other cable outlet.

I wonder how regionalizing EPL matches in the U.S. would work.

I assume he means regionalizing coverage on main NBC based on regional soccer interest/affiliate preference (aka letting affiliates choose whether they want to show EPL games or not). When NBC says they will carry an 11:30 central game, the affiliates will have to show it.

agreed. FSC is terrible. BeIN is much better.

Just in terms of broadcasts, and original programming.

That makes more sense. Yeah, I used to hate when the FOX station on the coast would not show the few EPL matches that FOX showed live. The station would show some god-awful hunting and fishing shows instead.

Take that shite to the OB.

Yeah, I used to think FSC did a slightly better job until BeIN.

It seems BeIN is operating with a much, much smaller production budget but they still manage to do things like hire interesting/quirkily entertaining characters for their original shows like The Locker Room.

I've never been bothered by FSC, only that I couldn't get FSC+... but with FS2GO + Apple TV, the second issue was solved..

I hope NBC just combines all this and has one channel...

That said, Ive given Cox one season to get BEIN Sport, if they dont have it by next season... I'm gonna get DirecTV and I really dont want to do a dish...

Agree with all of this except the ESPN analysis part.

ESPN has solid soccer coverage IMO. Would rather watch an EPL game on there than Fox Soccer.

Yea they really do. The analysis for the rest of their sports is so miserable that it makes me forget about their soccer staff.

All I know is that Ian Darke's voice, quality HD cameras, Steve McManaman's hair, Alexi's arrogance, and Bob Ley's overall jedi wisdom make me happy.

All of that in one package makes me a happy camper.

The 10 pm SportsCenter, soccer coverage, and live games are the only things worth it on ESPN TV. On ESPN Radio, it's SVP and Russillo only.
