The Replacements - Songs for Slim

SIAP.
I was a successful bidder for the Replacements new ep, Songs for Slim. I received it earlier this week. For those who don't know, this is an ep the Mats issued to raise funds for the medical care of Slim Dunlap who had a massive stroke some time in 2012.
So what we have here is a five song ep. It features two songs written by Slim. The first is covered by Westerberg/Stinson minus Mars. The seconds is Mars minus the other two.
There are three other songs. Gordon Lightfoot's I'm Not Sayin, Hank Williams Sr.'s Lost Highway and show tune Everything's Coming Up Roses.
I have really enjoyed hearing these songs and they sound about as good as I could expect. It's pretty much a live take(s) on each song and recorded in studio.
I appreciate what they've done, but it only leaves me wanting more. I hope they put the whole thing together again. I am really not capable of like a band/sound any more than I like the Mats. They are best all time for me.

I love the Mats, but no Bob... no Mats. Who am I kidding? I'll buy it.

Cool, I was planning on bidding and totally dropped the ball when they did that...
I read that they havent ruled out recording more together... I think Paul could use a filter for his solo work and Tommy may be the man to do it again...
He just needs to lure him from the evil clutches of Axl Rose..
