Hope he breaks out this yr. I'm a huge fan. Seems like a good kid.

Listening to the game today because they are playing the Cubs. He actually bunted for a hit a scored in today's game.

We were talking about the 93 semi final (long beach at omaha) game in a thread the other day, and a poster reminded me that the LB pitcher walked a batter to get to Todd Walker thinking (erroneously) he'd match up well against him. That brought to mind ( IIRC,) Texas did a similar tactic when they inserted a lefty to pitch to Mitchell in game Who promptly hit a triple to tie it up. I clearly remember thinking Augie should not have used the rant to scout.

K's have always been a problem if he can cut down on them he'll be a contributor in the bigs.

Yes, I have been wondering about Jared & when he would arrive in the major leagues. Sounds like it may be soon.

That would be great.
The Sox lineup is short on left-handed bats anyway and Dewayne Wise isn't a very reliable hitter off the bench. If Jared keeps his numbers up, maybe we could see him sooner.

Higgins - huge Cubs fan. I will be going to the Spring Training game on the Friday before the regular season here in Houston. Planning a trip to Seattle as well in June, so we will check out a game at Safeco this year when the Cubs are in town. Also get the MLB extra innings package at the house.

6 SOs in 28 at bats is pretty damn good. I'm a big sox fan and hope Mitchell does great things soon.
